Thanks Keith! It's actually a pencil sketch that I toned up in Photoshop with a scanned texture and the Dodge and Burn tool. I've been doing this a lot when I send sketches to customers, cause I find it's a quick and easy way to add depth without actually coloring it.
So I'm working on this logo for some kids' gaming team. This is phase 1 - the final full-color version will be coming soon.
