Grunge Bob

Work is slow at the Big J, so I had some fun with one of my favorite cartoon characters.  Meet Grunge Bob!

Pan tattoo finished!

All finished! I'm really interested in seeing how the tattoo artist adapts this design. Don't have any tattoos, but I imagine this is going to freakin hurt! I love how this turned out, but I'm not sure about the music notes - will probably send the customer another version without the notes, and just the curving lines.

Finally! I beat the hell out of this thing. I actually think I liked it better before the battle damage, but this looks pretty cool.

Finally got around to coloring this tattoo artwork I'm doing for a guy in Illinois. I'm pretty happy with it so far - just need to do the fur and the music notes swirling around him.

Almost done! Just need to add some "battle damage." Really happy with how this turned out.

Shield Logo Phase 4

Alright, nearing the end here (finally). I'm about 4 hours into this bad boy, but it's starting to pay off. I really like this sword - too bad the final design calls for most of it to be behind the shield. I still have to do the banner, which I keep putting off because fabrics are a bitch.

Shield Logo phase 3

Alright! Now it's starting to take shape. Still have lots to do: I need to finish the sword and add texture to the whole thing. And of course I'm eventually going to have to get to the part I've been putting off: the frayed banner.

A kid in Illinois is commissioning me to design a tattoo of the God Pan. Here's the sketch we came up with. I'm excited about this one - more to come as soon as I draw the finished piece.

I'm re-working one of my older images that I always liked, but didn't have the skill at the time to pull it off. As soon as I get some time I'm going to color it.

Shield Logo phase 2

Phase 2 of the Shield logo. I've been messing around with blocking out the basic shapes in Photoshop with the path tool and channels. I throw random colors in there and then save the flats on a channel or a hidden layer. This is a little painstaking (this took me about an hour) but it pays off when I start throwing pixels around, cause I can now easily and quickly create masks.

So I'm working on this logo for some kids' gaming team. This is phase 1 - the final full-color version will be coming soon.

PAWS

This is a sign I did for the local PAWS organization - they're trying to raise 1 million dollars. So rent one less porn this month and send them some money.

Sloth

I painted this dude with acrylics - It's still painful though (I'm a drawer, not a painter, baby!)

The Scourge - 2

This is a pencil sketch of a creature in my comic book "The Ends," which I could start any day (who knows?). The Scourge is a haunted machine - a common threat in a world where time has ceased to flow.
